Yoga, Healthy Eating & Nature Retreat

Yoga, Healthy Eating & Nature Retreat

Sometimes you simply need to spoil yourself. Especially in a peaceful nature reserve.

If that thought makes you sigh happily, then join the Yoga, Healthy Eating and Nature Retreat on Haarwegskloof Renosterveld Reserve.

The reserve will host well-known yoga teacher and dietician, Kelly Scholtz, and you, for a weekend of peace, mindfulness, healthy food, and nature.

Here’s what you can look forward to on your retreat weekend:

  • Yoga sessions
  • Discussions on healthy, mindful eating
  • Course on cooking with spices (with chef Dee Robinson)
  • Guided walk on the Renosterveld Reserve (with Dr. Odette Curtis)
  • All meals are included – using only fresh, healthy ingredients
  • All accommodation is included
  • Time to relax at the small swimming pool
  • And a welcome gift pack (including a bottle of beautiful wine from Sijnn Wines)

Spend time connecting with yourself and re-aligning to your natural, happy state, in the company of like-minded people. And allow the weekend to give you the energy to finish off 2017 with energy and vigor.

The best bit? This relaxing weekend takes place in a setting unlike any other – an untouched Renosterveld Reserve where a critically endangered habitat is being protected.

There are two packages available:

For R3200: stay in the Old Dairy Guesthouse. It offers two rooms with double beds, and a room with single beds, with two shared bathrooms.

For R2800: stay in the Research Centre. It offers two shared rooms with single beds. Bring your own duvet or sleeping bag (we’ll provide the sheets, pillows and towels).

The retreat takes place on Friday 24 November (starts in the afternoon) to Sunday 26 November. Space is limited, so booking is essential.

You really don’t need to bring much to the Yoga Retreat.

1. A yoga mat (and let us know if you don’t have one);
2. Comfy, stretchy clothes (leggings, tracksuit pants – anything that can handle movement, without being too loose).
3. Warm clothes, in case the evenings are cool.
4. Clips and hairbands for long hair.
5. Trainers for a guided Renosterveld hike.

And of course: be ready to simply focus on YOU!

KELLY SCHOLTZ

Kelly completed her first 200 hour RYT training with Catherine Wilkinson in early 2016. She has spent much of 2017 working through her advanced 500 hour yoga teacher training with Catherine as well, developing an alignment-focused vinyasa yoga style that is suitable for all body types and levels of practice. That means a combination of easy, fun flow and movement with breath, but also smart progression within each practice towards more challenging poses that require both strength and flexibility. When Kelly is not on her yoga mat, she works as a registered dietician in private practice in Cape Town. Her belief is that when we find ways to support our health in the context of everything else that we strive for as individuals, we tap into incredible energy, vitality and a physical resilience that enables us to thrive.

DEE ROBINSON

Dee Robinson has been passionate about Indian food since she was a small child. She shares this with you in a fully interactive Spice Course, during which you will learn all you need to know about Indian culinary herbs and spices. Learn to identify, blend, grind, temper and roast your own spices…and finally, create your own masala. The group will present a full Indian menu for Sunday lunch.  A wine tasting will accompany the final luncheon.
