#ForRenosterveld: Our Overberg photo challenge

Nature has got an important message for us right now: in order to care for ourselves, we must care for Mother Earth. In these extraordinary times, this is a message that we can’t ignore.

That’s why, during the June World Environment Day and Month celebrations, the theme was to take time #ForNature, to help build a better natural world, for People and Planet.

Here in the Overberg, we brought this message a little closer to home, through our #ForRenosterveld challenge. The Overberg Renosterveld Conservation Trust challenged Renosterveld lovers and friends to share their three favourite Renosterveld photos over three days, to grow awareness around the plight of Renosterveld.

Our friends answered the call – from the Botanical Society of South Africa, to the Agulhas Biodiversity Initiative, to Endemic Cape; as well as a number of individuals, including Rupert Koopman, Zoë Poulsen and Ismail Ebrahim.

Here are some of the amazing photos shared on social media during our #ForRenosterveld challenge. Thank you to everyone who joined the call, for sharing your wonderful photos.
